That's cool. I'm very into growing, the ultimate in green. Good luck with your garden this summer. And if you need any help- ask my parents, not me.
Good for the Obamas. (Even if most the work will be done by White House staff...) Gardening is good for the soul, and can be done even if you're not a hippi. This summer we are planting our own, mostly peas, cause they are so much better fresh. Let us know how yours goes.
hooray for gardening! And yes lots of non-hippi people garden - but only hippi drive around the country in a double decker bus with a garden on top.

What a great story! Good luck with your garden...I'm jealous. I wont have one this year :( Maybe we'll get a pot for our balcony to grow lettuce in like you did!
