snow in sherwood!

Usually it storms on tuesday nights, leaving my commute to salem very stressful. This week it stormed on wednesday night, which is perfect, because I don't have to drive anywhere on thursdays! We peeked out the window wednesday morning and danced around in excitement. This is the biggest snow (about 1 inch) I've seen in Sherwood. Naturally they closed all the schools..........

The little pea didn't quiet know what to think. She is sure cute though. The flakes kept getting in her eyes and she didn't like that, but I think she thought the snow was cool. After richard went to work we went on our usual 5 mile jogging loop in the snow. It was a little more difficult than usual, but nothing the Bob couldn't handle!

i guess we can live here for a while longer.

I'm missing some things about Utah, but I do like Sherwood. Like most runners, I've got a route I usually go on. It winds through the trees on this paved trail, and like most things in Oregon, it is pretty green year round and has moss growing on it. The end of the trail goes through a board walk over a nasty polluted swamp and then I end most runs by buying myself a treat at the ray's produce market and then walking home. Anna usually sleeps the entire time (about 1 hour) and then wakes up as soon as I pull the stroller through the front door. Even though it's no Bonneville shoreline trail, I guess it's pretty cool!

Anna gets really bundled up for the run. i put her in a snow suit that is a little too small and her arms are stuck like that the whole time. She usually sleeps the whole way, so it doesn't matter too much.

rays old town produce sideways. I don't think the lady likes me much because one time I took back a mushy watermelon when i was way prego.Anna sleeping in the trees.

Happy Valentines Hunny

Nicole always wanting to know whats going on.

Thanks for being you and making everything so much fun.
Love you

grammies

nope, not the old kind that gives you candy.

we occasionally watch TV so we can figure out who's who and what's what, cuz as our friend Kaelie would say, we're not really "with it" when it comes to that stuff.

So we turned on the grammys last night and richard had me rolling on the floor with his funny way of seeing things.

First off they were naming names and showing people in the crowd. I kept saying "who's that!" " who's that?" And he says: "they should make them wear name tags, really big ones so you can read them on TV."

I agree.

Later, after watching a few performances (of which we couldn't name since no one wears name tags), Richard decided that "when white people try to be cool they look stupid, when black people try to look cool, they look cool." This thought proved itself when that rapper did a little dance number with beiber. Beiber's was stupid -the rappers - cool. Except, we both wondered how anyone could take themselves so seriously when they dance like that.

and that was our sunday night. The fun continued this morning when richard looked at the best and worst dressed. last night we thought the pic at the top of the page was by far the worst.

free from the crawlspace.

Since richard finished his torture in the crawlspace, we have a had some free time on the weekend to enjoy the pacific NW. Last saturday we went hiking with my friend from work Sarah and her pretty dog Cody. She was a trooper to stick with our slow moving - baby hauling - caravan and we had fun listening to her dramas since our biggest drama in life is the amount of sleep anna gets every night.

We hiked eagle creek in the gorge because there is supposed to be good fishing there. Richard decided he was too tired to fish after 3 hours of hiking. We couldn't believe how happy anna was! She didn't make a peep until the end. That's a long time for her to ride in the baby backpack.
Richard sent this pic to his coworker who said - I see two richards in this picture, one little, one big! funny.
Last last weekend, Uncle steven took richard fishing. Steven caught one, no suprise! He's the king of fishing. He eat sleeps and dreams fishing. I'm pretty sure if he could marry fishing he would. If we ever go on a road trip with him and fishing is not included in the itenerary he gets highly offended (and grumpy!). Anyways, he thought this would be a funny picture. Anna wasn't sure what was going on - but look how chunky those legs are! After posting this on facebook one of our friends dubbed anna a MEATBALL. Sort of a funny name. i kinda like it.

Super Bowl Par- Ty!!!

Nicole had to work again. (Where are her priorities) Actually some guy wanted to watch the game and she volunteered to work. Way to be a team player honey. So Nicole left at 7:30 and it was just anna and I. We made it through 95% of church before we came on home. Anna was getting tired. (The game might have started also) After Anna took a quick nap we brought her chair into the living room and had our par-ty.

The appetizer was squash and rice cereal.
Dad is this over yet?
Nice Catch

I am not sure if mom approves of me eating in here dad.

It was a good day and I think I survived the day pretty well. I am not signing up for this duty permanently but we had a pretty good day. Thanks for all you do honey. I am pretty sure Anna can't wait for the next big game to watch with dad maybe Jimmer in the Final Four.

love my honey

my blogger friend posted about how she didn't buy a wedding dress. Me either. My nice sister borrowed this from her friend for me. It fit perfect and I didn't really care what it looked like as long as there was no lace involved.....

I don't like parties, planning parties, or being the center of attention and I'm a tightwad. So naturally weddingness was not for me. So we ran away to the mountains first chance we got and had some random snowshoers take these pics for us. They're the best ones we got!

anyways, I just love my Hubby bubby and that's all that matters.-

just need to vent a little.

I have never been pulled over by an officer before. Never for speeding or anything (unless you count the time I got pulled over in Morgan for drunk driving after babysitting my sisters kids, or the time I got pulled over for driving too slow in I-15). Last night, I had to pick up our sunday school manual from an elderly man in our ward. I got lost and had to turn around in the safeway parking lot. As I was pulling out I noticed a police man behind me. I made sure to stop completely and look both ways before turning out. But darn it, he followed me and put on his lights. I had no idea what I did wrong.

So he says I didn't stop long enough behind the white line before scooting forward to peek around the corner (the Safeway entrance is on a corner). So I said fine fine thanks for watching out for me (while thinking you slime). So he goes back to his car and it takes FOREVER! He comes back and says, I wanted to just give you a warning, but there is a problem because YOUR LICENSE IS SUSPENDED?

WHAT? I've never gotten a parking ticket, never been pulled over, never been sent anything about my license. I had NO IDEA IT WAS SUSPENDED! He took my license, told me to go straight home and that if I was pulled over without a license I would be in big trouble. WHAT THE WHAT???

So I called the DMV this morning. Turns out that they sent me a letter requesting an accident report and I failed to do so my licesnce was suspended. Yeah, that's right. Remember that time in Coos Bay when the man without insurance hit me.......well, because he didn't have insurance, they wanted another report of the accident. I did not realize my license address was not updated, so I never received the letter, and thus never filed an accident report! Looks like I've been a renegade of the law for the past 3 months, driving around without a license. All because some idiot drove without insurance and I got hit.

That's not the worst part. The worst part is that I have to PAY to get a new license. There is a fee to get out of the suspension - 75$. And a fee to get a new lisence - 27$. Really?

So i just called the officer to see if he still has my license - He's off duty so i left a message - if he does - maybe he'll let me take it to the DMV to avoid the fee? Probably not. Any bets?

Morals of the story:
1) Update your license address when you move!
2) Always fill out an accident report it you've been in accident, even if your insurance company and the officers tell you that you don't need to.
3) If you don't have insurance - PLEASE DON'T DRIVE. If you can't be responsible for your actions, PLEASE DON'T DRIVE. Because people who are responsible will have to pick up the bill.
4) oh yeah, and one more. Don't complain about not having a manual for sunday school - just do your job and keep your mouth shut (:
